The Only Café
Overall: 9.5 out of 10
The entire brunch experience was amazing; from the attentive service, delicious food and the scrumptious cinnamon infused coffee, we thoroughly enjoyed our meals and are happy to recommend this café/bar.

The menu offers very creative and tasty selections for brunch. You can have the Cowboy breakfast which is your basic eggs and meat (choice of ham or a banger sausage) with potatoes or you can go off the typical breakfast path, as I did, with the Breakfast Burrito.
The Breakfast Burrito is a soft-tortilla filled with spinach, potatoes, scrambled eggs and cheddar cheese served with homemade salsa, tortilla chips and a choice of baked or refried beans. It was really tasty and filling; if you’re in the mood for more of a lunch type option, this fits the bill completely. The Belgian Waffles also looked decadent with their generous portion of fresh whipped cream and sprinkling of icing sugar; the maple syrup accompanying the waffle is served in an old Grolsch bottle.

I fell in love with the coffee at the Only Café. It was brewed with cinnamon which gave it a great aroma and it tasted even better. I asked one of the wait staff about the coffee. It is Fair Trade coffee brewed with cinnamon. All I can say is Yum.

The Only Café is a small cozy and colourful bar with seating for probably around 50 to 60 people. There is one big table for groups and a smattering of tables for groups of 4, but most of the tables are two people. It seems that every spare space of wall is taken up with eclectic paintings, photos or old album covers. Our table was the Nude table, because it is closest to the nude painting on the wall.

We were made to feel at home by both of the women working at the Only Café. It seems that there was one woman who was taking orders while the other was making sure that tables were set and/or cleared and that everyone had drinks. This woman, Mary O’Donnell (hope that’s spelled correctly), made us feel completely at home and welcomed. She shared her Irish ancestry with us and made sure that we had everything we needed.
