The Tulip
We’ve been to The Tulip several times, for dinner and breakfast. It is an excellent place that has really good food and is unpretentious.
Some Facts:
This is a diner type restaurant. It opens early so it’s handy if you’re trying to get an early start to the day. They serve basic breakfast (eggs, bacon, sausage, toast) so if you’re looking for something fancy this is not the place for you.

The Tulip
Overall: 4 out of 5
The Tulip is a fine restaurant. I like the feel to it. The atmosphere is always good and the food is good. You can’t go wrong with this place. It’s not going to blow you away in any one area but when you leave the experience will have been worthwhile.
Cost: 3 out of 5
The cost was reasonable. It was $41 for 3 people. That is approximately $14 per person. For the amount of food that came it is not a great bargain but since the food was good it was worth it.
Food: 4 out of 5
The food was good. The cook did a good job of everything. They served up home made potatoes that were very nice.
Coffee: 3 out of 5
The coffee was okay, not great.
Décor: 4 out of 5
This has a nice cosy feel to it. The décor is unassuming and makes you feel comfortable. The layout of the restaurant is very good. You do not feel cramped in this place. The designer must have given a lot of thought of how to accommodate both the staff and customers.
Service: 3 out of 5
Our waitress was okay. She was a bit rough, didn’t bring cutlery until after the food arrived and forgot to offer coffee refills until we were ready to leave. However, she was relatively courteous and the service was prompt.
