Paddington’s Pump
Overall: 6 out of 10
It’s a bare bones restaurant with reasonably priced food. I would not go out of my way to visit this restaurant, but if you are in the neighbourhood and looking for all day breakfast it will suffice.

Paddington’s Pump
Some Facts:
Paddington’s Pump is located in the St. Lawrence Market.
Food: 6 out of 10
I had the all day breakfast that comes with 3 eggs, choice of bacon, sausage or ham (peameal bacon is an extra charge), home fries, toast and coffee for $5.49. The eggs were cooked to order but were not very tasty; I had to use salt and pepper which I very rarely have to add in restaurants. I had asked for my bacon to be done “crispy” – it was a little rubbery. I did not really enjoy my breakfast.
Patrick had the Grand Slam breakfast that came with 2 of eggs, bacon, pancakes etc. The pancakes were the best that I have tasted in a while.
Coffee: 8 out of 10
The coffee was good and plentiful.
Décor: 4 out of 10
The atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired; I kind of felt like I was in someone’s rather large basement or one of the Ukrainian clubhouses in Oshawa.
Service: 6 out of 10
Our waitress didn’t appear to be completely “with us” so to speak. She got the orders correct, but when I told her specifically that I did not want any more coffee she filled my cup. Also, when Patrick asked her if toast came with his meal, she told him he does even though it doesn’t say it specifically on the menu, but the only way he could get it is if he had ordered it at the beginning of his meal.
