Joy Bistro
Some Facts:
Located at Queen & Logan, the Joy Bistro offers outside catering and also offers the Over Joy lounge perfect for watching the sun go down and having some cocktails.
Food: 9 out of 10
I had the Traditional breakfast that is served with two eggs any style, choice of bacon sausage or ham, home fries and toast. The eggs were tasty and made to order – over easy – which is not always so easy. The bacon was a pleasing combination of chewy-crispy and was just right for me. The home fries were okay and needed seasoning. The meal was accompanied by two thick slices of buttered whole wheat toast. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal.
Service: 9 out of 10
Our waiter was just attentive enough without being annoying or cloying. He was very mild-mannered and had a soft-spoken quality which set the tone for the bistro. He made sure that we had everything needed and that our orders were made to our specifications.
Décor: 8 out of 10
There is a nice feel to this bistro; it is airy and fairly bright. There are local artists’ paintings for sale on the wall, which always a touch that I love. The only drawback was that the paintings that are currently being featured were rather dark and did not match the air of the bistro.
Value: 7 out of 10
Although the food was tasty, the serving was by no means huge. I have had the same portion size and quality of food for a lower price.
